Advertising!

Hmm....I think my current backers are overwhelmingly male!  I know there are more ladies who like this stuff out there... where can I find you?

I'm putting in a little money for ads because I honestly don't know where the English-speaking yaoi/slash/gay romance fans hang out aside from a couple of places on the net (Reddit, Tumblr, aarinfantasy, y-gallery, etc.)

In short, you might catch this popping up from time to time in other corners of the internet.

Work it, Mark.

  1. Why not try posting an ad on Oglaf.com? It's the most popular erotic webcomic I know of that regularly features gay romances, and I feel like the audience that reads it would be quite interested in a project like this.

Just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the nearly invisible link below the ad banner.

Also, you might want to see if anybody's interested in LPing the demo on Broken Forum. (Perhaps send Angie Gallant a copy and ask her if she'd like to LP it?) I know Cheerymoya's already done a playthrough of it, but Broken Forum's LP subforum has an incredible high percentage of female players, many of whom (I assume) are interested in gay romances. Hell, if you can't find anybody, I might just go ahead and do it myself after I'm done with NaNoWriMo... xD

  2. Been waiting to try out this demo since I found this blog. So glad its up.

Im a part of a small gaming forum, and a good portion of our members are either gay or enjoy the thought of two men together. I just got the ok from the head admin there to link over to here because we (or I and she trusts my judgement) felt that they would adore this as well.

  3. Hi Derotis! Thank you for helping out the campaign! The more people can get involved, the better this game will be in the end. Thank you so much!

  4. You might want to get in touch with Alex Woolfson at yaoi911.com. He's doing some rockin' gay comics and just had a successful Kickstart of his own. At the very least he may be able to suggest some ad networks you can investigate.

  5. Of course now I see your ad on his latest page. Looks great!

PS: I think the ad headline should read TRY ME. Yes Mark, I think I will!

    1. Oh, thanks Toddy! Yeah, I've seen his stuff and it's terrific. I'm getting some hits from that ad, so it seems like it's working out. Hahaha, I think you gave me another idea for the headline. If I have time I'll go and change it. XD

  6. Try checking out humplex.com - they create gay flash games themselves but they also link to other similar types of projects. I think they'd support you rather than view it as competition.
