ReplyDeleteWhat are the right steps in doing so? Can I view it through Windows Movie view?
Click "I am Over 18".
DeleteClick the green "Download" button.
It will start downloading the game file to your computer (where the file ends up depends on your settings).
It will take a minute or more depending on your connection speed.
Once it's downloaded, double click the file. It will expand from its compressed version. You may have to tell your computer where to save it. Save it where you usually save programs.
You can double click the "Coming Out On Top Demo.exe" file (Windows) within the folder to run it. The Mac version shows up as an icon that you can double click.
Yeah, I did all that. But when I click on everything, it says a zip file cannot be played on a WMV.

Hmmm...right click on the file, go to Properties -> General and change the type of application that runs a .ZIP file. It sounds like your computer is trying to open .zip files with the wrong program (Windows Movie)instead of WinRAR or another Zip program.
DeleteThe other possibility is that you might not have a ZIP program to begin with. You might need to download a ZIP program like WinRAR, then try opening the game file again.
I loved this demo and am so excited for it to be a full game! The character's behaviors are spot on. good job all!

DeleteYour demo isn't working. When I try to open it, I get an error message that says file is invalid or corrupt. When I try to extract it, it says file is empty.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what to tell you. I checked it right now and it seemed okay on this end. Did you try downloading the whole thing again? It might not have downloaded all the way.

I downloaded it three separate times. Twice on Chrome and the last time on IE. Same message every time after fully downloading every byte.

ReplyDeleteI'm not that familiar with Ubuntu, but I believe you need to unpack the file and run the shell script "Coming Out on Top.sh".

ReplyDeleteI liked the storyline and the plot twist that came along with it.
I can't wait to buy the full version once it comes out and I have already recommended this to one of my friends.
To Kar Morrison (who asked about opening it in Ubuntu Linux), just extract the complete archive to your home folder (or wherever you feel like extracting it), open the folder, and open "Coming Out on Top Demo.sh" and it should run then. If a dialog box comes up and asks you how you want to open it, click on run and the game should start up.

ReplyDeleteI have played a couple of games like this before but I find that they err 'cut to the sex' to quickly.
I'd definately buy this just to see how the chase for the professor and Ian goes.

Oh man, I dunno if you are the same person I messaged, but I can't use Paypal until after the Kickstarter closes (due to certain rules Paypal has.) I'll see if I can set up a Paypal in January for additional pledges.

I just love it! I think that the picture scenarios are great it gives something extra, But I really could take that heart off in the XXX scenes sorry, even with the censored version it's great!

This demo is actually amazing. So well put together and a brilliant storyline. How much are you thinking of selling the full product for and when are you thinking of releasing the full product? Either way, im really looking forward to it. Fantastic job so far!

ReplyDeleteYou can't. If you go on Kickstarter you have to be careful of what kind of nudity is shown.
