First of all, I learned how to use Ren'Py, the awesome visual novel engine, got a lot of help improving my artwork, put together a demo for a gay dating sim called Coming Out On Top, and launched a Kickstarter.
Along the way I've been meeting one fantastic person after another. It has been such amazing fun chatting with so many charming people from around the world, from so many different backgrounds. You are the very best supporters anybody could have.
Thank you all for rocking my world.
What's ahead for 2013? Well...
- Coming Out On Top has still got 19 days left on Kickstarter. I'm going to try and found out what other places I haven't reached. So far we're up to five new guys in the add-ons. We're closing in on six.
- Even though there's so much going on with fundraising, game development doesn't cease! This month I'm updating the rest of Alex's storyline for the new game. It's been a while since I've gone through the demo...and after going through it today, LMAO, I didn't realize how freakin' long it was ... that's what she said.
- The development forum should be open shortly after January 20th, once Kickstarter's done processing everything. It sounds like a lot of you have tons of ideas and suggestions. Bring it! I can't make promises what ends up in the final product, but as a lot of you know, I'm pretty open about incorporating ideas that I think will improve the game.
My only goal for 2013 is to bring you the best game possible--something you're proud of having supported. I definitely think this is a unique little game with a special style of its own, and that there hasn't been anything quite like it, even among the handful of straight dating sims. Thank you all so much for making this happen!
